The 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid is in many ways the best version of the CR-V with more power, greater efficiency, and a more engaging, refined driving experience.

Honda even outfitted the CR-V Hybrid with new features that will guide buyers toward making their next vehicle a fully electric one. The recent buzz in town has been about the all-new 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid. It's the trendiest thing in town- combining aesthetics with modern innovations- a new rugged design, a longer wheelbase, a wider stance, and an improved powertrain motor. Here's what you can expect from the 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid.

A More Powerful Hybrid Engine

The Sport and Sport Touring versions of the 2022 Honda CR-V are only available with a hybrid powertrain, which combines a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with two electric motors for a total output of 204 horsepower. ThisThe Sport can be purchased with front- or all-wheel drive, but the Sport Touring comes standard with all-wheel drive.

Front-wheel-drive models get an EPA-estimated 43 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway, while all-wheel-drive models get 40 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. These ratings make for better fuel economy than its competitors, like the Mazda CX-5 and Toyota RAV4.

A More Spacious Interior

The 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid has a more spacious cabin, including 0.6 inches of additional legroom for second-row passengers and a new adjustable rear bench that can recline by 10.5 degrees. The SUV's power tailgate is now quicker and quieter, with a hands-free kick-to-open function for the Sport Touring.

The cargo space behind the second row is 36.3 cubic feet, which increases to 76.5 cubic feet with the seats folded. This is 3 cubic feet more than last year but 1.2 cubic feet less than the new non-hybrid model. The exterior of the SUV has grown by 2.7 inches overall, with most of the stretch going towards a 1.6-inch longer wheelbase.

A Sportier Look That Makes the CR-V Stand Out

The recently redesigned Honda CR-V is certainly a head-turner thanks to the repositioning of its windshield pillars, which gives the SUV a sportier look. Equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels, all versions of the CR-V, except for the Sport Touring Hybrid, provide an appealing ride.

The Sport Touring Hybrid, on the other hand, boasts a set of 19-inch gloss-black alloy wheels that add to the SUV's already striking appearance. The CR-V's powertrain is composed of a two-motor hybrid system, which allows for a Snow mode and a Sport mode, offering drivers versatility in their driving experience.

An Upgraded Cabin

The 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid's interior has been enhanced with an array of new features that prioritize both comfort and functionality. The front seats are designed to offer ample support and minimize driver fatigue during long journeys. The cargo area has been expanded to provide more space, making it easier for passengers to carry their belongings.

The 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid also features a new cabin tech suite with a standard 7-inch touch display or a more powerful 9-inch unit for the Hybrid Sport Touring. It comes with updated navigation software that works with the hybrid powertrain to optimize battery charging and regeneration based on the route. Both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard, and it offers USB Type-A and Type-C charging ports.

Additionally, the larger screen has wireless connectivity and a wireless phone charging pad that is twice as powerful as previous generations.

What We Think

The 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a fuel-efficient SUV that's not only comfortable and practical but also stylish. With its impressive fuel economy ratings, spacious interior, long list of standard features, and engaging driving experience, it makes for an excellent all-around compact SUV.
